Trails Work Day at Peninsula May 20th

Many hands make light work! That’s the intention of the Peninsula State Park Trail Work Day scheduled on Friday, May 20, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet at the park’s mountain bike parking lot (Lot 5) on Highland Road. Bring work gloves if you have them. The Trails Work Day is sponsored by Door County Silent Sports. If you need additional information phone 920-868-3258.

    Dwarf Lake Iris: The Federally-threatened Dwarf Lake Iris grows only in very special sites near the shores of northern Great Lakes. Like a miniature blue flag iris, the deep blue to purple blossoms appear first in early May, and most flowers have faded by early June.
