During this season of giving, there are three ways for you to support important projects at Peninsula State Park that will enhance the visitor experience and create long-lasting memories for future generations.
First is the replacement of Eagle Tower. To date, we have raised over $650,000 for this project and are less than $100,000 away from our goal of $750,000. For more information and to donate to Eagle Tower, please visit www.EagleTowerFund.com.
The other project is expansion of the White Cedar Nature Center. The center has a long history as a fun, family-friendly place, filled with many interesting exhibits. However, funds are needed to update and expand the existing facility. To date, almost $160,000 has been committed towards the goal of $450,000 needed to complete all phases of the project. Please visit www.PeninsulaFriends.org/support for more information and to make a donation to the Nature Center.
Finally, the Friends are participating in the Newman’s Own Foundation $500K Holiday Challenge. This gives us an opportunity to earn additional dollars for our projects through gifts made during the event, which ends on January 3, 2018. Please visit https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/friends-of-peninsula-state-park for more information and to show your support.
Thank you for considering these opportunities to sustain and enhance the park we all love!
