Fall 50 at Nicolet Beach (10/22/2011) Friends of Peninsula State Park volunteers supported the Door County Fall 50 by staffing an aid station in the park at Nicolet Beach, and the Fish Creek public beach.

Friends Support Door County Half Marathon at Peninsula (5/7/2011) Friends of Peninsula State Park volunteers provided an aid station along the route of the Door County Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5k.
Woodsy Egg Hunt (4/23/2011) The Woody Egg Hunt at the Nature Center was hopping fun! 50 kids plus parents stopped by to learn and play.
Bat House Workshop (4/22/2011) We went batty on Earth Day! After learning about bats, families assembled pre-cut bat house kits (crafted by an Eagle Scout). They turned out great!
Fox Valley Technical College Mapping Project (4/10/2011) Peninsula State Park hosted 36 students from Fox Valley Tech, who visited the park to work on a project mapping park trails and sewers. Family Ski Day 2011 (2/19/2011) Family Ski Day at Peninsula State Park was postponed on January 22nd, due to cold weather. It was rescheduled and held on bright and sunny February 12th
2010 Spooktacular Hike (10/9/2010) The ninth annual Spooktacular hike was held on Saturday evening October 9, 2010. The event netted $2,500 which will be used to support Peninsula Nature Programs.
Talking Tombstones (8/3/2010) Blossomberg Cemetery "came alive" on August 3, 2010, as members of the Friends of Peninsula State Park and other volunteers presented information about some of the people buried at this historic cemetery.
Candlelight Ski (2/6/2010) Lack of snow turned the ski into a walk. But that did not stop people from coming! Almost 300 people participated in the walk put on by park staff and with assistance of Friends volunteers.
Family Snowshoe Event (1/11/2010) On January 11, 2010 Peninsula State Park had an event for families that wanted to get together and have fun snowshoeing and skiing in the park.

Gibraltar Outdoor Classroom (11/8/2008) A partnership between Peninsula State Park, the Friends of Peninsula State Park, the Friends of Gibraltar and the Door County Invasives Species team, are working together to create an outdoor classroom just behind the Gibraltar School.

Second Annual Meeting (9/20/2008) We gathered on Saturday, September 20 for the second annual Friends meeting held at the Welcker's Point shelter house.
2007 Spooktacular Hike (10/6/2007) The sixth annual Spooktacular hike was held on Saturday evening October 6, 2007. The weather was perfect. Over 1,000 people took the hike. Over $2,000 was raised to support nature programs at Peninsula State Park.
2007 Annual Meeting (9/22/2007) 28 people attended this historic first annual Friends meeting held at the Welcker's Point shelter house. The weather was beautiful, the food was excellent, dessert was great, but the highlight was the presentation given Bob Bultman, invasive species team leader for Door County.
Boyscout Butterfly Garden Project (5/21/2007) In May 2007, the Friends hosted a lunch for the Boy Scouts and their leaders that participated in the butterfly garden project at the Nature Center. The lunch was wholesome and the scouts and leaders enjoyed the lunch break.
Lighthouse Garlic Mustard Pulling (5/10/2007) May 2007. The Lighthouse Walk weekend was approaching. Park Manager Tom Blackwood asked if the Friends could clear garlic mustard from the triangle area just north of Eagle Bluff Lighthouse.
