Fish Creek, WI, January 10, 2013 – Peninsula Friends invite everyone to enjoy the beauty
of Peninsula State Park, a crackling fire in the warming shelter, and refreshments from 11
AM to 1 PM on Saturday, January 19, regardless of the amount of snow on the ground.
“Ski tracks do not require much snow, so we are hopeful that those who want to try
skiing or snowshoeing will be able to do so. But even without enough snow, we’ll have
an opportunity to hike and enjoy this very special place,” says Chris Holicek, president of
the Friends of Peninsula State Park.
For this event, enter the park at Highland Road, one mile north of Fish Creek at the
intersection of Highway 42 and County Road A, and park in Lot 5. A State Park vehicle
admission sticker is required. Please, no pets at this event.
