2009 Spooktacular Hike

The eighth annual Spooktacular hike was held on Saturday evening October 10, 2009.  The weather was as chilling as the event but attendance was still estimated to be more than 1,000 people.  Kathleen Harris is to be commended for organizing this popular event every year.  Camp hosts, park personnel, members of the  Friends of Peninsula State Park and other volunteers helped set up, participate in, and put everything away when the hike was finished. Generous contributions received from hike participants will be used to support Peninsula Nature Programs.   Hikers commented freely about how much they and their children enjoyed this fun and educational hike.
