Peninsula staff & volunteers are surveying Peninsula State Park and other locales in Door County for bats as part of state-wide monitoring effort.
During the survey below, volunteers documented long-eared bats near Rowleys Bay. Each circle on the map indicates a bat, and the shape indicates which species was located. “It’s great to see Northern long-eared bats; we haven’t found too many of those this summer,” commented John White, DNR Conservation Biologist.
