2013 Annual Meeting

Beautiful Weborg Point in Peninsula State Park was the setting for the annual meeting of the Friends of Peninsula State Park, on Saturday August 24, at 11:30 AM. A picnic potluck was followed by a short business meeting, which included a report from Park Superintendent Kelli Bruns.

Jerry Leiterman, the new Northeast District Park Supervisor for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, spoke about the important relationship between the Friends, the Park, and new initiatives in the Wisconsin state park system. Allison Perrigoue, recipient of the Friends 2013 research grant, discussed the surprising results of her survey of the dwarf lake iris microhabitat within the park.
