Annual Meeting and Special Program
The Friends of Peninsula State Park Annual Meeting is Saturday, August 27, 2011. Please join fellow Friends for a potluck picnic and learn what is new in the Park.
Where: Weborg Shelter in Peninsula State Park
Time: Social time begins at 11:30 AM. At noon, there will be a potluck picnic followed by a short business meeting and a report from Erin Brown, Acting Superintendent of Peninsula State Park.
Oh Deer!
Program presented by Autumn Sabo
Autumn Sabo is the first recipient of the Friends Research Endowment Fund Grant. She is currently working on her Doctor of Philosophy in Forestry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
You will want to learn which forest plants deer prefer, how the over-abundance of deer alters our forests and what new research is underway on deer-plant interactions!

Parking at Weborg shelter is limited. Carpooling is recommended. Additional parking will be available in the day lot just north of campground and at Nelson Point.
