2011 Annual Meeting

The Friends of Peninsula State Park Annual Meeting was held on Saturday, August 27, 2011. There was a potluck picnic followed by a short business meeting and a report from Erin Brown, Acting Superintendent of Peninsula State Park.

Autumn Sabo, the first recipient of the Friends Research Endowment Fund Grant, gave a presentation about which forest plants deer prefer, how the over-abundance of deer alters our forests, and what new research is underway on deer-plant interactions! Autumn is currently working on her Doctor of Philosophy in Forestry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Below are some photos from the event taken by Bill Schaars.
